Edie sleeps on my records

and for some reason, I can't bring myself to make her stop. It's her favorite place to nap and although I know it could slightly wear on the records, I feel her apparent fondness for this spot gives us a kinship and mutual adoration for rock and roll. I know. I am a crazy cat lady. I have been told. Also, I think all the little indie kids who have record players now should be required to invest in classic records rather than just the typical oh-we're-so-indie-we-release-our-music-on-vinyl-because-it's-cool-now-even-though-we've-never-heard-a-led-zeppelin-or-stones-album-in-our-lives (sorry....bit of a chip on my shoulder about vinyl).

Konrad just made cookies. I need to eat cookies. And go to bed. Hannah bought tea that says Sleepytime on the box. I think I may make use of this...

moneygrabber

Fitz and Tantrums are possibly in my top ten favorite bands ever and they play in Nashville on Feb. 13....which means I shall most likely be Nashville bound this Sunday. Their entire first album makes me want to dance in an old school soul club and sing like Aretha Franklin.

you need to be kissed, badly...

and by some one who knows how.

I just watched Gone with the Wind tonight for the first time in forever and remembered why I love it so much. Rhett was as charming, cynical, and witty as ever...and is it weird that I adore Scarlet? I always have. Despite her essential bitchiness, there's a life force in her, a passion, and will to push as hard as one must to succeed that I can't help but admire. Konrad says our relationship is similar to Rhett and Scarlet's and strangely enough, I actually somewhat agree. The jury's still out on whether that's a positive or not...maybe we need to rent the sequel (a six-hour long movie called Scarlet, sans Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable that I watched when I was young because I needed some kind of consolation for my distraught heart after reading and watching Gone with the Wind for the first time).
